I remember a while back, discussing with a fellow of mine, that at some point, a company was discussing the possibility of a Trigun fighting game of sorts. I do remember a figurine of a plausible character created by Nightow was made, but the game was never released, much less, mentioned ever again.
With a Trigun Fighter at one point, possible, let's assume that the idea would show up again, and ask: What would you like to see it in? Characters, system, anything.
Personally, I'd like to see it made by Arc System Works; the people behind Guilty Gear/BlazBlue/Persona 4 Arena.
I love the huge pixel art and the smooth animations. Being they've recently dealt with material outside of their own and it's been quite successful, and the fact they seem to focus more on a shonen anime style than most fighters, which seem to focus much more on a 3D aspect and make it seem clunky, IMO. (Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom, MVC3, etc. At least as far as what I have played that are not Party Fighters.)
I can seriously imagine a Vash done in their style of pixel art. Something just clicks really well. I can also imagine Vash being quite a fast paced run and gun spam type of character. (Similar to how Yosuke plays in range game in P4A, or the range characters I typically get beaten by in BlazBlue.) But he'd probably be very easy to knock around, provided people could get close to him. Reload times, maybe?) Ah, thinking about this just makes me want to see something more and more.
... But I haven't gone as so far to think about playable characters. Aside from the atypical Vash and Wolfwood and new characters...Or for that matter, at what place in time of the series a fighter would take place. That seems to be the most difficult part, because from what I understand, the series is wrapped up, with Badlands Rumble being the most recent addition.
Long intro post aside, what would you guys like to see in a Trigun fighting game?
EDIT: Pardon, it was a Trigun MMO that was in the works. Nontheless, I still think it would be cool to discuss the possibility of a fighting game.
