Anyone here ever use Trigun in their homework? I know everybody takes their favorite fandoms into classwork if they can, at least once, so I thought I'd ask if I was the only one who uses Trigun in their homework. I've actually written a (terrible) Trigun poem, when I had to write a poem with a list of 20 virtues I had made. My reasoning for this one was that I couldn't think of any other character who I could use to connect all 20 of them aside from Vash. ;D I'm also making my journal project for my art class Trigun themed, and I made a fake Trigun movie still for homework once. (The things they said about Vash and the poster were hilarious, by the way. "He doesn't fit into the setting!" "What's with the hair?" "He looks like a B movie action hero" "Are we on Tatooine? " "Is that a gun? (trying to figure out Livio's guns)" "Oh my god there's TWO SUNS" etc.). Probably kind of a silly topic, I know, but hey, it could be fun to talk about.

Well, I've never done a *formal* project with Trigun characters, but I have most certainly handed in homework with Trigun doodled /everywhere/!

karaii: Love your doodles! :3 Sadly, I discovered Trigun JUST after college, so I never had the chance. Looking back, I once had an assignment to create a brochure for a company, and it could be a fictional company if we wanted. I wish I had known about Trigun then, because I totally would have use the Bernardelli Insurance Society. XD

I did all the time in high school (on my gap year now, hopefully once I'm in college more glorious Trigun homework shall appear haha), usually for my art assignments. This was from either from Ad Design or Advertising Agency (11th and 12th grade, respectively)--can't remember OTL. We had to design something that would represent a famous person and I was like, hell Yasuhiro Nightow is famous to me!!! and I don't know diddly squat about celebrities I wanted to add Klaus from B3, but I was still having wrist problems then and that was too ambitious for the poor thing. But I rather like how this turned out. My Revoltech Vash served as the model, haha. And this is an old assignment from Drawing I, that was 10th grade aaaaaaaagh I feel old!!!!! Anyway this was an assignment to arrange 3-5 books and draw them. AKA the perfect time to draw all my favorite books (this is only a small selection) I also doodled Trigun all the time. Once I got bored in Study Hall and copied a page out of Trimax I was supposed to be studying for AP World History.... mostly Gundams but I like the sassy Wolfwood. (ignore comment in the corner haha) Something scribbly that murdered a pen. Something I managed to color in class as I found things throughout the day haha And this hahaha there's so many more weird doodles.........

Well, Gunsmoke in Gaia started out as an experiment for Storyboarding class, you know. I just turned it into a proper comic once that purpose was done. I still work on it sometimes during the break in class, and my professor still occasionally comments on panels. He particularly liked these pages:

I wish I would use Trigun for homework, but... I just get too shy to even try 8(
I mean, yeah, I doodle Trigun stuff quite a bit, but that's about it. I don't really talk about my cartoon/comic-related interests much to folks at school, especially to my teachers. And I guess I just have no clue HOW to incorporate Trigun into what I'm doing, and I tend to feel like I need a purpose for it outside of "HEY IT'S TRIGUN". But this is mostly just me... being way too bashful. ;A;
That said, the temptation is sure there, and I WANT to do something trigun-related at some point. Even if I don't want to flat-out draw Trigun fanart for school, I keep trying to find times where I could SYMBOLICALLY apply it (and a few other interest like it) into my work. There was ONE time last semester, where I had sketched out this abstract-y design using only Knives' blades for an assigned marker illustration board project, but I realized quickly how complicated it would've been, and went with something else.
Someday though... I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna symbolically draw them Triguns and make them neat and it's gonna be good! ;;
But you guys are awesome for incorporating Trigun like that! I bet that poem was fun to write, Redgunslinger! Also really neat about the origins of your webcomic, Jeredu. : O
btw, kwolfwood, that's a pretty spiffy pic at the top! With marker, I am assuming? And those doodles are fantastic |D

Oh wow, you guys have such amazing doodles! kwolfwood and karaii in particular, wow, those made my day. ;D Jeredu- Wow, I gotta admit that's pretty sweet! I would do Trigun for my animations if I thought I could get away with it. T_T You're so lucky~. Moogy- Aww, thanks~ It was fun to write, actually. Most fun I ever had in that class... it was a make up course through BYU and being an atheist and AP student at the time... @_@ I felt so bored and so preached to, omg. I wish you luck in doing something trigun-related for homework! ^_^
