Wolfwood's birthday. Loosely inspired by Karaii's comic, and set in Gunsmoke in Gaia: Future Tense (AKA, anything in that universe that happens later on).  |

@jer - I came on to post some fanart and saw this gem again and started crying uwahtkjashtj TTATT killing me with feels, woman!! (this is perfect, keep going)  Anywho, this doodle is from a whatif!AU I came up with yesterday. What if Tesla HADN'T been experimented on? What if the crew had actually taken her in and raised her properly? Knives and Vash would be born some time after and the three of them would be a happy family with Rem as their surrogate mother. Of course, the Big Fall still happens, but this time it's not Knives' fault -- it's a glitch in the computer. Rem still sacrifices herself to save as many people as she can, bundling the three plants into a safe spaceship before she leaves. As a result, Knives, Vash and Tesla crash onto Gunsmoke but have no hate for humans in their heart (at least, not yet). They observe the humans struggle for survival while using their brethren and, with Rem's ideals in mind, decide to work on a way to allow humans and plants to live alongside each other so both worlds can benefit. Knives is the more emotional of the group, and is quick to anger but also quick to calm. He cares for his siblings above humans but strongly wishes for humans to accept plants as sentient beings so they can live together as equals. Vash is the more humane, strongly desiring to help humans survive. He's also emotional and will be the first to tear up, but he's surprisingly sturdy and does not get as affected by Gunsmoke's violence and misery as much as Knives does. Tesla is the eldest (by a year? two? idk) and the more level-headed of the group, often the voice of reason to the twins' arguments. She cares for humans and plants equally. Soft-spoken, she rarely complains but has set opinions and will not waver from them. |

 Yes, I went there. An AU where Wolfwood is an actual priest, and Vash is a supernatural creature that claims to be an angel. The idea is that Wolfwood was indoctrinated into the Order of Michael as a young boy because he could see supernatural things and interact with them, a rare talent. He's been trained to send demons back to hell, and damn does he do it well. His order worships angels in particular, but Wolfwood had never seen one till Vash. Wolfwood is skeptical of Vash's claims because he's been told all his life that angels are flawless, holy beings, and Vash is missing a limb and can't be holy since he causes havoc wherever he goes. Plus, the damn tongari flaps around naked and oblivious like he DOESN'T know he's temptation incarnate. The hell. He's a diablo for sure. Ideas with honourable mention from this AU are that the Order of Michael secretly carries out assassinations of 'demons' under orders from Knives, Vash's estranged brother. Wolfwood is unaware of this until very recently, when he began to hang out with Vash (read: when Vash begins to incessantly hover around Wolfwood, pestering him since no one else can see him). But whether Vash and Knives are actually angels, or if they're actually demons in disguise, is something that not even Vash honestly knows. |

Borderline as that may be, that's honestly actually amusing, and almost damn well plausible for an AU.
Also, talent.
Heck, everyone on this boards got some talent. I jelly.

karaii: what the actual fuck, except for the part where that sounds like a ridiculously awesome idea for an AU @_@ Also, I love Wolfwood's pose and priest threads so much. Reminds me of Gabriel Byrne in Stigmata <3. And Vash is just hnnnggg. Those pecs are gonna be the end of me.

... And as soon as you mentioned priest robes, my first thought was Duo Maxwell of Gundam WING, who wears an outfit like that on purpose, and yet still somehow manages to be ridiculously, snidely badass.

Okay, actually, I remembered the collar, but it's still on purpose, nonetheless--anyways-- if someone in this thread draws him and Wolfwood being buds, I will love them forever. Platonically, of course. Or however that word is spelled. Something to that effect.

And I suppose I'm appearing out of nowhere with this!  No. But Vash do have wonderful eyelashes. Anyhow, to my own surprise I sat down and drew a Vash I am fairly satisfied with. I've really had trouble to catch Vash's persona. Probably because I usually don't draw such cute happy guys. And his hair is a nuisance. Vash apparently found some kuroneko plush in a store. And is probably trying to get "someone" to buy it for him. |

 Being able to regenerate from almost nothing does have it's perks, but the downside is, IT HURTS LIKE HELL. Here's Livio trying to shove Elendira off for like, twenty minutes, but failing spectacularly because he only has an arm left and half his entrails are still spilled everywhere and god damn it, that nail is long. In other news, I love torturing Livio, I'm sorryyyyy (not really) |

Going through my photo album today and I found the one picture I've drawn of Vash FOREVER AGO and it is a testament to why I don't draw! Due to the fact that I have no shame I share it with you guys!  Sadly... this is probably the best drawing I have ever drawn in the history of EVER. |

Jeredu once made a comment that Wolfwood is like Trigun's male femme fatale: He's a mysterious, charming character who worms his way into our protagonist's heart, and is then revealed to be a double agent. The comment lit my brain and I decided to draw an actual female version of Wolfwood, hence the following genderbend:  Cocky, self assured, and more lethal than a gunshot to the heart, Nichol D. Wolfwood can kick your ass from here to July and back. Naturally, I decided to draw a female equivalent of Vash, as well:  As you can see, that didn't go too well XD Vash is hard to genderbend, since he canonically has several feminine features, and the outfit itself hides his broad shoulders and lithe body (and, in the female version's case, hides her curves). Nevertheless, I enjoyed this and will try my hand at it again. As a bonus, here's the first genderbend Vash I drew, some weeks prior to the above two:  |
