I'm totally with KWolfwood with the whole Legato having a crush on Knives and trying to get sempai to notice him. Maybe it's just my BL goggles but it's kind of obvious to me.

kwolfwood I agree with you on most of that. But I think Knives is totally aware that Legato's loyalty isn't just because he saved him and just likes to use that to make him suffer. Although that may just be because KnivesXLegato is my OTP. Actually, I consider all my Trigun ships my OTP's and I just can't choose one over the others for more than five minutes. One of my favorite headcanons to think over centers around Gunsmoke actually having lots of marine life underground that no one has discovered yet because the wells only go so deep before it's too dangerous to keep digging. Another one I like is Vash's poor driving skills comes from a lack of toy cars to play with on the SEEDs ship.

Oh my gosh, this is perfect, because soap operas NEVER END! They just keep going and going, which means that no matter how long Vash lives, he can just keep watching them!
Okay, story: Remember that scene in the manga when Legato is all, "OMG, Master Knives, I will kill Vash for you!" and Knives is like, "Ha! That's a good one! Go away, you're boring." Well, the first time I read it, I must have been wearing some kind of goggles, too, because somehow I interpreted the scene to mean that Legato didn't want to die with the rest of the humans, but wanted to keep living as Knives' servant. Killing Vash was his way of saying, "Look how incredibly useful I am! You want to keep me, right?" So later, when he fights Vash and looses, he demands that Vash kill him, because he's lost his only chance to keep living with Knives, and if he can't have that, then he doesn't want to live anyway. Reading the manga through a second time, I realized I was reading too much into it, but I've kept it as a headcanon ever since.

UwU Me too! They're all so genius! (The one about Little China made me go XD)
This is really cute! :D For a while I had a headcanon that Vash was also a Lethal Chef (again, this seems to be disproved in the manga) and every few months he would save money to buy a bunch of expensive ingredients to recreate the PERFECT DONUT RECIPE that he used to watch Rem make for him as a child. Even though he knows exactly what ingredients to use and how to make it, for some reason his bad luck always interferes and the recipe never comes off the way it's supposed to. And then one day Millie sees what he's doing and (following the instructions he wrote down) she just ups and makes it for him. Because she's awesome.

oh man this reminds me of a drabble i read once where vash is so popular that there are vash the stampede souvenir stands full of awful dime novels and stuff, and whenever he breaks his glasses he stops and buys new ones
so he runs around wearing his own merchandise like a big silly butt
probably one of my favorite headcanons i've seen, hehe I've read that! Wolfwood was all like *facepalm* XD I'm totally with KWolfwood with the whole Legato having a crush on Knives and trying to get sempai to notice him. Maybe it's just my BL goggles but it's kind of obvious to me. There is nothing head about that canon. That's canon canon! Oh my gosh, this is perfect, because soap operas NEVER END! They just keep going and going, which means that no matter how long Vash lives, he can just keep watching them! It would be almost kind of like he had friends that would never leave him *gross sobbing* For a while I had a headcanon that Vash was also a Lethal Chef (again, this seems to be disproved in the manga) and every few months he would save money to buy a bunch of expensive ingredients to recreate the PERFECT DONUT RECIPE that he used to watch Rem make for him as a child. I have a headcanon that the Gungrave and Trigun universes are one and the same--Gungrave takes place in the past on Earth before Trigun.
The Seed virus in Gungrave is eventually evolved into plants (get it? Seeds turn into plants?). In the game artbooks, Seed has some wing-like forms that remind me of plant wings. Also, it gives another meaning to Project Seeds~
Also, there were Toma shown in a brief shot in the anime, which could make Toma a foreign species to Gunsmoke that were brought along with the people on the ships. Perhaps they are actually like really durable and adaptable or something and that's why they chose to bring them.
This would also mean Project Seeds may also be secretly funded by the mafia.
Ooooh my headcanons are so weird they make my head hurt.

I don't have so much headcanons, but one of them is that Livio always acts like a dork around the insurance girls because he has a crush on Milly. ;D

Is it weird that I wish to adopt every single one of the headcanons in this thread? Nope I've adopted almost all of them too I'm getting a mental image of Vash curled up on a sofa with popcorn and donuts, stuffing his face and crying as a cheesy soap opera plays on the TV. XD Meanwhile, Wolfwood tells him he can't believe he even watches this crap and shuts off the tv, making Vash all sad and whiny. I would draw this but I gotta work on final projects for school T_T

CELESMA, I JUST READ LES ENFANTS AND I'M HEADCANONING IT WITH YOUR FICS RAKUEN AND ISN'T IT BEAUTIFUL.
UGH MY HEART.
ALSO, The Lost Plant sort of supports my realization that Plants create matter and Independents destroy it, thereby balancing the laws of the universe.

I also headcanon that these conversations between Vash and Wolfwood happen in Vash's head, after Wolfwood is dead:

Lol! Oh 2nd Donut! I love the silly dramas in that. I remember once being REALLY tempted to tell one of my student loan representatives over the phone to run for their lives when I was trying to apply for a deferment. It seemed to work for Vash! Sadly I didn't, because the person on the phone was being really nice and helpful. XD Thanks for reminding me of these. I think I'll go give them another listen! (And for people like me who don't speak a lick of Japanese here's a translation I found: animeworld.com/lyrics/trigun2nddonut.html )

I headcannon that Elendira was the first human to join Knives' group, happy that Knives cared little for her gender or aesthetics like everyone else she had known, and valued only strength, resourcefullness, and intelligence, all of which she had in spades. She'd built her weapon herself. She was faster than anyone else. She was ten times deadlier than any gunslinger. And she was damn proud of it. Elendira had already been traveling with Knives for a while when they picked up the nameless ex-slave that stank of blood and dirt and old men's sweaty armpits, and who yet still managed to look beautiful. Elendira hated him on the spot. (barbie-doll anatomy for the sake of keeping this pg-13, lol) I also head cannon that Legato had never worn clothes before joining Knives' group, and Knives could've cared less for the health and safety of his minions, so Elendira was the one to wrestle him into clothes and cut his god-awful mane for the first time, all the while insulting him and belittling him and calling him all the names she'd heard in her lifetime directed at her for being who she was, wanting to hurt, maim, and tear this pretty broken boy a new one for being more powerful, more beautiful, and more resourceful than she'd ever been. To her endless chagrin, the insults flew over Legato's head, the belittlement did little to change his demeanor, and the change in clothes only managed to make him look more gorgeous. Yeah. She hated him pretty much from day one. However, they did grow up together. So Elendira and Legato know more about each other than they'd ever admit to. Their constant vying for Knives' attention and love led them to enter an unspoken competition, wherein they would constantly attempt to usurp the other. They sabotaged each other's plans and rarely worked together without nearly killing the other. Elendira never failed to attempt to humiliate Legato in front of others in revenge for Legato's unsurpassed devotion to Knives and power of will. But, underneath all that loathing, she admired him. And Legato came to respect Elendira's immense talents. So, to end this already too long post, have some canonical feels: when Elendira died, Legato -- in the midst of battle with Vash -- though to himself "Were you defeated... Crimson Nail!? ...But there's no need to worry. Before long, I'll be headed over there as well." YUP.

I love this head canon because I have always loved re-reading the interactions of these two. There's something deep in there that Nightow didn't share I felt. >D I love it.
