I think it's high time our discussions here turned to what really matters: Fight! If these are too mainstream for you, there's always those one-off flashback manga coats to choose from. Oh, and figurine coats. Those were also nice.As for me, second manga coat all the way.

Oh man, this may be even harder than picking my favorite episode. As even though I always thought the tubs looked really kinda silly, their use is totally AWESOME and I LOVE them for it. Then all those buttons. WHY SO MANY BUTTONS!? Yet, I can't help by love those buttons. Eeeehheehieheheee. D8 I don't know! Hm. I think 3 may win it for me in the end. No 1... no 3.... no.... I don't know!

I'm a fan of the second and last manga coats, and at this point I know them well enough to draw them from memory. I really like the Badlands Rumble coat, though, because it's like a streamlined version of his final coat in the manga! It still has all the same essentials, but simplified and sleeker!

My fav one is the last manga coat, followed closely by the badlands one (I love how it's bi-colored and the collar buttons placement <3 ). I also like the second manga coat but I have mixed feelings toward the tubes and I miss all the buckles... xD

Either the second manga coat or the anime coat. Why is it so hard to choose?

I'm gonna be a rebel here and say my favorite of Vash's coats is actually the one from the July City flashbacks in the manga. I like how it has a military-esque look to it. www.mangahere.com/manga/trigun_maximum/v05/c001/5.htmlOut of the one's listed, I'll probably go for Badlands Rumble because, like Alnee, I also like the two-tone going on.

I'm so lame. I hadn't even noticed there was that much variety in the coats. XD
Classic anime coat all the way!

The ending series coat is my favourite because it's the only one I know how to draw from memory (for now!)

I'm stuck between #2 & #3 too. #2 more because I thought he looked so cool in it when I first saw it and #3 seemed like a combination of #1 and #2. I dunno, I cray cray.

karaii- ditto, though I do vaguely remember how to draw #2, the one with the square metal plate on the collar? I also learned how to draw that gun arm first. captainstormwind- Yeah, until the reveal of the ammo, I always figured they had something to do with the heating/cooling system. After all, Vash's coats from 2 onward in the manga are apparently air conditioned! If only the cosplayers had that sort of technology, it would be a lot more comfortable! Manga coats two AND three both had ammo tubes... I dunno why he ditched them for coat #4. It's kind of hard with manga coat #4, though, because Nightow is very inconsistent with the details of it. The number and placement of belts, buckles, and clasps changes from panel to panel, which is endlessly frustrating for anyone trying to draw it. Even the way the two straps attached to the outer flaps work is different from page to page... Still, they all look consistently AWESOME, so I can hardly complain. If nothing else, the Badlands Rumble coat is delicious because I like seeing a less simplified coat in all its animated glory!

Oh maaan, kind of a toughie!
Second manga coat is the one I learned how to draw first. That said, there's something about the other coats, with that one big strip of buttons torso-down, that I love a lot. It just seems to be one of THE defining aspects of what makes Vash's coat, well... Vash's coat, for me! And while I love his Manga2 design, I kinda think it feels a little "off" having the torso portion covered up like that (just my opinion, though!)
I think I'll go with the Badlands Rumble coat. More details than his original anime coat, got the big buttons strip in the middle, those fancy two-colored sleeves, and overall just plain fun to look at and draw~!

I love the Badlands and #3 Maximum coat the best, but I can only draw the anime coat from memory so I sort of like that one too. Sometimes I just sort of combine them all when drawing for the fun of it. But I really like the Badlands coat because of the two-tone red parts and for how it's represented on the Revoltech figure (my third Trigun figure~) , the sculpting is just so awesome! So I'd have to say it's my number one favorite. c:

But it took me some time to realize it was the movie's coat ^^" It reminds me more of a cross between the 3rd manga coat (especially for the arm and legs) and the badlands one (two-tone for the win !).
